American Ingenuity’s Office Domes Are Open For Viewing

American Ingenuity looks forward to having you visit our 17 year old dome offices which consist of a 45' dome linked to a 34' dome and a 40’ screen dome. The office domes are not a model home, but set up as offices. You can easily see how spacious and livable the domes are. One Saturday a month the office domes can be toured along with a Melbourne 9 year old dome home (34' - two bedroom/two bath with one car 22' garage dome).  Scroll down this page to find the Saturday tour info, dates and directions to our offices.  To schedule a Saturday tour, please call Ai's office at 321-639-8777.

Tours of Ai's office domes are available Monday through Friday; arrive anytime between 10am and 3pm. The first tour starts at 10am; the last tour starts at 3pm.   Ai's offices close each day at 5pm.

The Ai office is closed when the following holidays are observed: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

The tours consist of the following:

1. If you have not seen our DVD, that is the first thing you do when you arrive. It takes about 25 minutes and answers hundreds of dome questions. On our web site are hundreds of dome pictures, to view those pictures click on Picture Gallery.
   
2. A staff person will walk you through our office domes pointing out significant features.
   
3. Financing is the single biggest block to owning a dome home. Lenders tend to want 25% to 35% down based on the finished price of the dome home. They will accept equity you have in your land towards this down payment. Each client researches and coordinates their own financing. 4. A staff person will answer your assembly and construction questions. 5. Due to liability reasons, our insurance company will not allow visitors in our factory. To see a list of possible insurers on domes, click on Insurance Companies.
   
6. Sorry we do not set up in office appointments to discuss floor plans. All floor plan designs are done via phone, emails and or faxes.
7. Some Ai's stock floor plans are now available in PDF format. Click on PDF to view and print them out at not cost. To receive other stock plans via email, call Ai's office at 321-639-8777.

9. In our Planning Kit is a 60 page stock plan booklet that contains some of Ai's stock plans for the 22' thru 48' domes. You can order this Planning Kit on this web site under Visit Our Store  If you do not see a plan that fits your lifestyle in the Stock Floor Plan Booklet, Ai can modify its stock plans or design custom plans for a reasonable fee. The following is a description of the plans design process:

• • Sketch out your ideas on a stock plan or on the blue floor planner pages in the stock floor plan booklet.
  • Email them to us by clicking on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or fax them to us at 321-639-8778.  Please include your name, phone number(s), time zone and best time to contact you.  If you fax your sketches, please call our office at 321-639-8777 to assure that we received your fax, the correct number of pages and that it was legible.
    
  • When you want to discuss your floor plan questions, please call us.  We recommend that you contact your building department and ask what is required to obtain a building permit.....besides building plans do they need an engineer seal on the building plans?  Do they require an Energy Audit?
  • After we receive your plans sketch, our Plans Coordinator will complete a Plans Quote which will be emailed to you.  
  • For us to schedule your plans for design, you can either email your acceptance of the Plans Quote or return the Plans Quote signed and include payment in full for the Building Plans.
  • Once we start the design of your plans, we will email or fax you two rough drafts that you review, make changes and return to us.
  • After you approve the final draft, we design your structural blue prints, complete your plans and mail the plotted plans via priority mail (if you are a USA client).
  • If your plans require an engineer seal, a quote is obtained from the engineer before the design work starts.  The seal cost is included in your Plans Quote.  After Ai completes the structural sheets, your plans are emailed to the engineer for his review and comments.  Ai makes any needed changes, plots the plans and mails them to the engineer for his stamp and signature.  The engineer then mails your plans to you.
    
  • Once we start the design process, it takes about five weeks for modified plans and about eight weeks for custom plans.......usually most of the time is taken up between when we send you the draft and when you return it to us.

Dates for some of the upcoming Saturday tours are July 30, August 27, September 24, October 22, November 19, December 17 and January 21, 2012.   The Saturday tour starts at our dome offices at 11 am. The Saturday tour consists of the following:

1. Viewing a 25 minute DVD showing domes finished and under construction.
2. A Question and Answer period covering the main points of the American Ingenuity Dome Building Kit.
3. A tour of the dome offices and driving 8 miles south to tour the Melbourne dome home.
4. Sorry we do not set up "in office appointments" to discuss floor plans. All floor plan designs are done via phone, emails or faxes. See above for clarification.

The following are directions to our dome offices.  Please do not use your GPS as it will take you the long way to our offices:

SOUTHBOUND ON I-95 (Exit Numbers now match mile marker numbers)

• Take Exit 195 and cross over I-95 in right lane.  This will cause you to follow the curve to the right and put you on Fiske Blvd.
• Turn Right at first light onto Hwy 502, Barnes Blvd. and go East 1.3 miles.

• Turn Right onto Murrell Rd. and go South 2.1 miles.
• Turn Left onto Viera Blvd. and go east 1.4 miles.
• Turn Left onto Holiday Springs Rd.
• Office is around the curve on the right.

NORTHBOUND on I-95 (Exit Numbers now match mile marker numbers)

• Take Exit 191 turn right onto Wickham Rd. and go 2 blocks.

• Turn Left onto Murrell Rd. and go North 2.5 miles.
• Right onto Viera Blvd. and go East 1.4 miles.
• Turn Left onto Holiday Springs Rd.
• Office is around the curve on the right.
