For those who desire a one story home NOT two story, below are stock plans for one story prefab kits for dome diameters 15′, 18′, 22′ and 40′. American Ingenuity’s other diameter domes (27′, 30′, 34′, 36, 45′ & 48′) can be revised to have one floor only. If you do not see a stock plan to fit your lifestyle, Ai can revise any plan per your descriptions or sketches. Custom Plans receive the same discount as stock plans.
The plans below for the 15′, 18′ & 22′ domes are considered Tiny Domes, homes or cottages with 172 to 370 sq.ft. If you want to build a dome with these smaller square footages, please check your local building code and zoning requirements to see if there is a minimum size new home requirement. In Florida the minimum size new home that can be built is usually 500 sq.ft. or 800 sq.ft. However some Cities and Counties are revising their zoning laws to allow for Tiny Home Communities where a home can be built smaller than what code calls for in that area or state. Please be aware some zoning can require a garage to be built with the new home.
