Stairs can be free form as shown in the Connecticut dome, built in with storage underneath, spiral stairs, welded contemporary stairs to traditional oak stairs. If a cupola is installed at the top center of the 40′ or 45′ or 48′ in diameter domes then a small loft above the second floor is possible. Access the loft with a drop down ladder or a ships ladder.
